The Local Town

         

The closest town is Alhama de Murcia which is a 10 minute car ride away.

This is an interesting historical and typically Spanish town with ancient thermal baths and a variety of shops and bars.

Every Tuesday in Alhama de Murcia there is a very large street market. Parking in the town centre in an underground car park by the police station.

Getting there

Take the route to Murcia on leaving the complex and follow until the dual carriage splits Alhame de Murcia is signposted from here

Enjoy the Sun

There is a choice of beaches at the puerto de Mazzaron.

The busiest is at the main port, with numerous restaurants and the town centre close by.

There are quieter ones by the Hotel Bahai near the old port these have pedalos and canoes for hire. with a few beach bars and some restaurants.

Meander through backstreets

Puerto de Mazzaron is a busy costal town with plenty of bars and restaurants mainly situated on the port. The town centre has many shops and supermarkets. A walk up to statue of Christ and the lighthouse gives you wonderful views over the town and surrounding areas.
